Abstrakt

W artykule przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania innowacyjnej technologii identyfikacji radiowej (RFID) do wsparcia, przyspieszenia i automatyzacji procesów związanych z obiegiem zbiorów w bibliotekach. Zaprezentowano zasady działania technologii, podstawowe elementy składowe infrastruktury oraz dwa wykorzystywane w bibliotekach standardy radiowe. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie potencjału technologii RFID dla bibliotek oraz zasygnalizowanie różnic i zbudowanie podstaw do dalszych rozważań na temat standardów radiowych.
