Abstrakt

Artykuł przedstawia zabytki piśmiennictwa Mjanmy zapisane w formie rękopisów na liściach palmowych, składanych papierowych książkach oraz największej na świecie kamiennej księdze. Opisano Bibliotekę Narodową, Bibliotekę Uniwersytecką w Rangunie oraz Bibliotekę U Pho Thi w klasztorze Sadhammajotika w Thaton. Natomiast wyniki badań dotyczących bibliotek publicznych opublikowane przez The Asia Foundation, Myanmar Book Aid oraz Preservation Foundation w 2014 r. posłużyły do nakreślenia sytuacji bibliotek w tym kraju.
