Abstrakt

Mentoring enables a one-on-one relationship in which a more experienced colleague listens, supports, and makes suggestions to benefit another.  It is a form of professional development that can help library workers learn to do our jobs, advance our careers, and strengthen our profession. And, formal mentor programs can help to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to benefit from mentoring.
